    The Urban Green is a member of the Canadian Cohousing Network (CCN), a national, non-profit society that promotes the creation of cohousing communities by raising public awareness about cohousing and by bringing people together to form communities. Mission Statement
    Our mission is to create and live in an urban cohousing community, which is architecturally designed to foster interdependent supportive relationships in a sustainable environment.

April Family Event

Members and friends of The Urban Green are invited to a family play-time in April. John and Mary Smith will be hosting this event at the Newton Family Resource Centre. The event will be multigenerational, and will include some special guests! This will be a great opportunity to meet some of the families involved in this project. Stay tuned to this site for details as they become available!

"Dad's Drop-in" Events
The Newton Family Resource Program operates a “Dad’s Drop-in” on monthly Saturday mornings. It is run by John Smith, a member of The Urban Green. This drop-in is a chance for dads and their kids aged 0-5 to enjoy a pancake breakfast, hot coffee (juice for the kids!), good play and fun activities in an informal setting. There is no fee for this program. This event is open to all dads in the community and provides a great opportunity for friends and members of The Urban Green to get to know one another.
